Hello all...sorry about last month. I read somewhere that pregnant women don't like getting their picture taken, and it is kinda true!
But we are back, and by we I mean Brandan, myself and our sweet baby boy!!
Since our last post, Brandan and I had our sonogram. This is by far the coolest thing that I have ever done. I could do this everyday for the rest of the pregnancy. Happy to report that our little man is very healthy and active.
Look close and you can see our little man's left hand:) "Hello everyone!!"
We also tried the 4D imaging...and because he was so active, we weren't able to get the best picture, but still very interesting. They also work better when baby has a little more chunk on them:)
I have to admit that I was kinda enjoying the ride, but now that we know what is heading our way, we are in full baby mode. We are starting to work on the nursery and have started to get the list going of all the fun stuff we are going to need.
Needless to say, Brandan is totally excited! I really don't know that I have ever seen him smile so big. One of the first things he said was "I never have to go hunting alone again"
So here we are now... 24 weeks!! that's more than half way!
Baby is about 1.3 lbs and 11.8 inches!! About the size of an ear of corn. No wonder I can't bend over very far and I use about 5 pillows to sleep:)
(Actually, as we speak Maggie is giving me a pedicure cause I can't reach my toes) he he

Hello Hello!
We got to hear a heartbeat!! 160 beats per minute. One of the neatest things we have ever experienced. There really is a little person growing in there ... I have to say that I was starting to wondering if i was really pregnant or if I was just gaining weight:)
Everything is going great. I am getting more and more energy but have officially out grown my normal pants. Luckily, I have got my hands on an elastic band that allows me to wear my old pants unbuttoned. Yeah for no maternity pants!!
So here we are at 16 weeks...
Baby is about the size of a baked potato:)...butter and sour cream please! About 4 1/2 inches long and weighs about 3 1/2 ounces.
Something exciting to look forward to? We have a Sonogram scheduled for Wednesday May 16th. So everyone start taking bets on if we have a boy or girl.

Brandan and I have been blessed with many amazing journeys in our our lives together, and it is our joy to announce that we are beginning another. We are expecting our first baby October 03, 2012. I thought that this would be a fun way to share and keep everyone up to date.
We found out that we were expecting on February first and quickly told close family and friends. It was especially fun to tell Maggie that her wedding party had gotten just a little bit bigger. We tried to keep the news quiet for a bit, but everyone was too excited and news got out very quickly.
Brandan is also looking forward to being a dad, and has been wonderful since day one. On Valentines Day, I came home to a huge box perfectly wrapped in heart paper. He had bought me a glider for our Nursery. When I came home the next day, one our our spare rooms had already been gutted of unnecessary furniture and there was my glider perfectly assembled in the corner.
I have had several doctors visit, and everything is going very well. My symptoms have been very mild. I am happy to report that I am one of the lucky ladies that did not have any morning sickness. I have, however, been very tired...but I will take any excuse to take a nap. :)
My plan is to post whenever we have news or anything fun to share, but I will also post monthly shots of "the belly".
So here we are...12 weeks. The baby is about the size of a Nutter Butter cookie this week.
